Well, I'm Grant. Though it's quite obvious, I have no idea what I'm doing. I have read a lengthy (and verbose if I might add) book on python. It was a little old, and I had a lot of trouble with some parts. I had to skip a few concepts that I wasn't completely sure about. Anyways, I read the whole book, but it never really got into any gui programming. So after looking for a while I stumbled across this newbie challenge, and here I am. I've been going solo in this programming hobby for awhile now. I know it's a lot to ask, but I don't really know where to go from here. It would be awesome if someone could point me in the right direction. I want to learn more, but I don't want to buy another REALLY thick and expensive book that doesn't get me anywhere. I know nothing about programming other than python. I've looked everywhere or in all the wrong directions at the least. I'm willing to put in the effort, and the enthusiasm is there, I promise. I'm just a little lost at the moment. I know I should probably learn more about other things first like my own OS and how to create wiki pages (cause this must make me seem like an imbecile). I have run ubuntu for almost 2 years, and I have had so much fun with the upkeep alone. I just don't know what else to do...
