Please Do Not Top Post
The preference of most readers of the wxPython mail lists is to reply to messages by inserting your text inline with the existing text. This preserves the flow of the conversation, and makes it easier to remove portions of the text that are no longer relevant. Because of this preference, using top-posting for replies in our mail lists can be very annoying.
What is top-posting? Here is an example:
A: Yes. > Q: Are you sure? >> A: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation. >>> Q: Why is top posting annoying in email?
When I say don't top-post I'm not suggesting that you should fully bottom-post instead, but rather to intersperse your comments in the original message's text where they are most relevant, and to trim anything that is not relevant.
